Junior Accounts Payable Clerk Location: London (Office-Based) Type: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract Hourly rate: £17-£20 per hour
A Junior Accounts Payable Clerk is required for a leading global entertainment business in London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced, collaborative finance team within a highly recognised media organisation.
Our client, a globally recognised entertainment and media business, is looking to appoint a Junior Accounts Payable Clerk to join their Finance team on an initial 6-month FTC.
This is an excellent opportunity for somebody with existing Purchase Ledger/ Accounts Payable experience looking to further develop within a fast-paced, creative and international environment.
The Role Working closely with the wider finance function, you will support the day-to-day Accounts Payable operations, with a particular focus on the Entertainment One UK AP function and ensuring invoices, supplier queries and payments are managed accurately and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Managing and monitoring the Accounts Payable inbox
Responding to supplier queries, payment updates and remittance requests
Supporting new vendor set-ups and approval processes
Managing new vendor call-backs and supporting payment backlogs, including international payments
Processing invoices and ensuring correct workflow approvals and coding
Ensuring invoices are posted ahead of weekly payment runs
Assisting with bank postings, including sweeps, interest and bank charges
Performing supplier statement reconciliations and resolving discrepancies
Liaising with internal departments to ensure invoices are processed and approved in a timely manner
Supporting wider AP teams with invoice and payment-related queries
Communicating correct processes around coding, PO approvals and payment scheduling
Participating in regular Accounts Payable team meetings
About You
Previous Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger experience essential
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong communication and time management abilities
Basic bookkeeping / double-entry knowledge beneficial
Comfortable working within a fast-paced team environment
Intermediate Excel skills advantageous
