Junior Accountant

We are looking to expand our team, we are looking for a junior accountant with at least a few years experience in practice. Please do not apply if you have no Practice experience.

The ideal candidate will have the following

AAT Qualified or Qualified by experience with a sound understanding of practical accounting.

Experience working in an accounting practice

Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Experience in financial management, accounting, and bookkeeping practices, including preparing financial statements and reconciling accounts

Knowledge of tax preparation, tax compliance, and understanding of UK tax regulations

Skills in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

Familiarity with accounting software and tools such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms

The role will include, but not limited to;

Preparation of VAT returns

Preparation of annual and corporation accounts

Handle HMRC queries and correspondence

General admin tasks as and when required

Management of client financial records and bookkeeping

Provide exceptional customer service to clients via phone and email

Commit to personal professional development and share knowledge with peers
