Location: Finchley, London

Job Type: Full-time (initially office-based with potential for hybrid working)

We are seeking a motivated Junior Accountant to join our accountancy practice in Finchley. This role offers an excellent opportunity for someone at the start of their accounting career to gain valuable exposure to a wide range of clients while developing their technical skills in bookkeeping and MTD/VAT.

Day-to-day of the role

Assist with the preparation of year-end accounts.

Prepare bookkeeping records and VAT returns in compliance with Making Tax Digital (MTD) regulations.

Support the preparation of personal and corporation tax returns.

Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.

Liaise with clients and respond to queries effectively.

Support senior team members with day-to-day client work.

Required Skills & Qualifications

AAT/ACCA qualified/studying, or a relevant Accounting & Finance degree.

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.

Good communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Experience with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks is advantageous.
