After starting as a prepaid card, our product offering has grown a lot in the last 10 years in the UK. As well as personal and business bank accounts, we offer joint accounts, accounts for 16-17 year olds, a free kids account and credit cards in the UK, with more exciting things to come beyond. Our UK customers can also save, invest and combine their pensions with us.
With our hot coral cards and get-paid-early feature, combined with financial education on social media and our award winning customer service, we have a long history of creating magical moments for our customers!

Monzo is an exciting combination of a bank and tech start-up, started from scratch in February 2015 to build a bank that makes money work for everyone. We’re focussed on solving problems, rather than selling financial products, making your financial life simpler, and giving you complete control from your smartphone.
We’re the largest digital only challenger bank in the UK, with over 15 million customers. As we continue to grow, we want to make sure we’re really living our mission of making money work for everyone.
Monzo is growing fast, from being a UK bank to operating a tech and FS group with a truly international footprint. You will help lead ambitious growth in our policy agenda and impact to match this expansion, working in Ireland, Spain and other EU states.
You'll be part of our Public Policy squad, with responsibility for leading Monzo’s international policy strategy and government relations engagement. You’ll work closely with teams across the company as we establish our presence in the EU and expand Monzo’s offering to US consumers. This will include creating an international relations strategy and engagement plan across four policy categories: corporate and prudential, product, financial inclusion and vulnerability, AI and tech.

Helping devise the team’s international strategy and priorities as the business expands in new territories with a particular focus upon the EU and US.
Coordinating input from across the business, briefing Board and senior management to ensure Monzo anticipates policy challenges and uses opportunities, with a focus on the EU.
Maintaining and developing key relationships with external policy makers, industry groups, consumer groups and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
Helping build our expertise and views on a range of policy and social impact issues, and advocating for change which helps us achieve our mission.
Working with internal product teams to help them build features and services that enhance our mission to make money work for everyone.
Coordinating and writing formal responses to relevant consultations and other requests.
Partnering with international trade and consumer organisations that share our aims by pooling our expertise, resources and voice.
