The Opportunity
Our client is seeking an experienced Payroll & Finance Administrator to join a busy and fast-paced organisation in North Bristol on a short-term temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with payroll administration experience who can quickly integrate into the team and provide immediate support across payroll, HR administration and finance activities.

Key Responsibilities
Process weekly and monthly payroll information accurately using the Optima Payroll system.
Administer payroll records for both permanent and bank staff, ensuring all employee data is maintained and up to date.
Liaise with managers across the business to ensure rota information and payroll data is accurate before payroll deadlines.
Manage the HR inbox, ensuring enquiries are responded to and actioned efficiently.
New starters and leavers
Maternity and paternity leave
Sickness absence
Holiday and other leave arrangements
Employee contractual changes
Maintain accurate records and documentation relating to payroll and employee absences.
Ensure payroll documentation is submitted accurately and within required timescales.
Support staff leave administration and monitor absence records.
Manage petty cash allocations across departments whilst maintaining budget controls.
Process petty cash top-ups and claims through the imprest system.
Ensure petty cash procedures and controls are consistently followed.
Support audit compliance and maintain accurate financial records.
Provide general finance and administrative support as required.
About You
Previous experience in payroll administration is essential.
Experience using Optima Payroll would be highly advantageous.
Strong administrative skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Confident working with high volumes of sensitive and confidential information.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to strict deadlines.
Strong communication skills with experience liaising across different teams and stakeholders.
Experience handling employee absence, leave administration and payroll adjustments.
Knowledge of finance administration and petty cash processes would be beneficial.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
