Interim Management Accountant Wirral | £45,000 - £52,000 DOE | 12-Month FTC

Are you a finance professional looking for a broad, hands-on role within a growing and supportive business? We're working with a highly regarded organisation that is seeking a Management Accountant to join its finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to gain exposure across the full management accounting cycle while working closely with an experienced finance leadership team. The Opportunity Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate and insightful financial information to support business decision making. You'll be involved in month-end reporting, forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis and process improvement initiatives, whilst developing your commercial and technical accounting skills. Key Responsibilities Preparation of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow reporting Month-end journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations Variance analysis and commentary against budget and prior year Supporting budgeting and forecasting processes Producing financial reports and KPI analysis Assisting with year-end audit requirements Supporting financial controls and continuous improvement projects Working closely with budget holders and stakeholders across the business

About You Experience assisting with the preparation of management accounts Strong Excel skills including Pivot Tables and lookup functions Previous experience using finance systems such as Sage, Xero, Dynamics or similar Organised, analytical and able to work to deadlines A proactive team player with excellent communication skills What's On Offer? £45,000 - £52,000 salary depending on experience Hybrid working pattern: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home Early finish every Friday (2pm) Friendly, collaborative and supportive culture Exposure to senior finance stakeholders Study support and professional development opportunities Excellent opportunity to broaden your management accounting experience within a successful and growing business
