Are you an experienced finance professional with a knack for systems migration and process improvement?

THE ORGANISATION

This UK-based business operates within the manufacturing sector, supporting a multi-site industrial environment. The organisation is currently undergoing digital transformation projects, including a migration to a cloud ERP system, alongside routine financial duties. They value practical, hands-on finance expertise and team players who thrive in a dynamic, operational setting.

THE ROLE

As Interim Finance Project Accountant, you will support a key system migration to Sage Intacct, assist with financial data clean-up, and manage essential finance tasks during this transitional phase. Your role will blend technical system migration work with day-to-day finance activities, ensuring smooth operations and system integrity. You will work closely with the finance team and external consultants to deliver a successful project.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct, Sage 200, or similar cloud ERP systems

Strong knowledge of data validation, cleansing, and migration processes

Familiarity with credit control, sales invoicing, and accounts receivable workflows

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data analysis); Power BI experience advantageous

Able to work independently with excellent organisational skills in a manufacturing environment

Preferred

ERP system implementation experience beyond Sage platforms

Experience supporting transition projects in small finance teams

Comfortable with operational finance and practical problem-solving

ON OFFER

This temporary role is ideal for a finance professional seeking varied, meaningful work during a critical period of digital transformation. The position offers flexibility for some remote work after onboarding, with five days in the office in the Edinburgh-area. The initial contract is planned for two months, with potential extension depending on project progression. You will join a busy, supportive team managing an important ERP upgrade alongside routine financial responsibilities, gaining significant experience in data migration and system implementation.

Competitive salary of £35,000 - £45,000 (for exceptional candidates)

Starting from late May with a view to end of July, possibly beyond

Onsite with flexible working options after initial period

Opportunity to develop skills in cloud ERP, data migration, and manufacturing finance

Supportive environment where practical problem-solving and team effort are valued
