The Opportunity
A growing and well-established business in Bristol is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Operations Manager to provide leadership across its transactional finance function during a period of business transformation and continued growth.
Reporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control and wider finance operations, whilst driving process improvements and supporting key operational projects.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a transactional finance team covering Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control
Ensure all finance operations are delivered accurately and on time
Review and improve existing finance processes, controls and procedures
Monitor team KPIs and productivity, identifying areas for improvement
Support month-end close activities and reporting requirements
Partner with stakeholders across Finance, Operations and Commercial teams
Drive improvements in cash collection, debtor performance and supplier management
Identify opportunities for automation and process efficiencies
Support ongoing finance transformation and systems improvement projects
Manage escalated finance queries and provide operational leadership across the department
About You
Previous experience within a Finance Operations Manager, Transactional Finance Manager or Shared Services leadership role
Strong knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Credit Control functions
Experience managing and developing finance teams
A track record of improving finance processes and operational performance
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise a busy workload
Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Dynamics 365, NetSuite or similar
A hands-on approach with the ability to balance operational delivery and strategic improvement

Multi-site or multi-entity organisations
Working capital and cashflow optimisation
