Pay: £55,000–£62,000

Hybrid – 3 Days a week on site

12-month FTC

Robertson Bell is partnering with a charity to recruit a Finance Manager on a 12-month fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional with charity experience to take ownership of operational finance, support financial reporting and lead the annual audit.

Key responsibilities

Oversee month-end reporting, accruals and prepayments.

Prepare and present financial reports to budget holders.

Lead the annual audit, including the new Charities SORP requirements.

Support VAT and Gift Aid returns.

Coordinate the work of 2–3 Finance Officers.

Review and improve existing finance processes.

About you

Strong transactional accounting and month-end experience.

Charity or not-for-profit sector experience.

Experience with audit and financial reporting.

A proactive approach, with the ability to manage workloads and improve processes. Formal line management experience is not essential.

The details

Salary: £55,000–£62,000.

Location: Harrogate, with 3 days in the office and 2 days working remotely.

Hours: 37 per week, with a 4pm finish on Fridays.

Contract: 12-month FTC, with a Novemeber start ideally.
