I'm working with an established international business looking for an Interim Accountant to join their finance team in Warrington on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
This is a great opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to develop their management accounting experience, get involved in month-end processes and contribute ideas to improve financial processes and reporting.
Matching and reconciling freight and duty invoices, investigating discrepancies and ensuring costs are accurately recorded.
Monitoring invoice volumes and outstanding charges to ensure all relevant costs are captured.
Supporting month-end processes, including accrual calculations and providing accurate cost information.
Working closely with Accounts Payable and Management Accountants to resolve queries and maintain accurate financial records.
Investigating differences and helping ensure month-end accruals reflect outstanding costs.
Identifying opportunities to improve existing processes, controls and reporting.
Supporting the wider finance team with accurate financial information and ongoing process improvements.
Part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
A good understanding of management accounting principles and month-end processes.
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and work confidently with financial data.
Someone proactive and naturally curious, who enjoys understanding processes and finding ways to improve them.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across finance.
Previous retail experience isn't essential. They're looking for someone with strong accounting fundamentals, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and develop.
The role offers a salary of £35,000-£40,000, with flexibility up to £42,000 depending on experience, plus a 10% bonus and employee discounts. It's a 12-month FTC with three days onsite per week in Warrington.
