Interim Accountant

Title: Accountant (3 Month FTC)

Location: London (Hybrid)

Day Rate: £300 – £320 per day

Contract: 2/3 Month Fixed-Term Contract

Our client is a rapidly growing green energy group with a strong presence across the UK and Europe. Due to increased reporting requirements and ongoing growth, they are seeking a qualified Accountant to join their London-based finance team on an initial 3-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with the monthly financial reporting and close process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery

Support the preparation of statutory accounts and year-end financial statements

Assist with the external audit process, liaising with auditors and preparing supporting documentation

Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls

Support the preparation of management reports and financial analysis for senior stakeholders

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal reporting requirements

Assist with process improvements across finance operations and reporting procedures

Support budgeting and forecasting activities where required

Work closely with the wider finance team to manage ad hoc reporting and project work

Contribute to maintaining accurate financial records across multiple entities

Candidate Requirements

ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified

Open to candidates from either industry or audit backgrounds

Previous experience within financial reporting, statutory accounts, or audit support

Strong understanding of financial controls and reporting processes

Experience supporting external audits and working with auditors

Excellent attention to detail and strong analytical skills

Confident communicator with the ability to work collaboratively across teams

Ability to operate effectively within a fast-paced environment and manage competing deadlines

Prior exposure to the energy, renewables, infrastructure, or related sectors would be advantageous but not essential
