You'll become the key insurance contact for the business, working closely with brokers, insurers and senior leaders while helping to shape the future direction of the insurance function.
The role is primarily remote, with occasional travel to other sites as required.

The business offers exposure to a broad range of insurance disciplines and provides the opportunity to work closely with operational leaders, finance teams, legal specialists and external insurers and brokers.
What you'll do
Lead the annual renewal process for the group's insurance programme, ensuring appropriate cover and competitive terms
Manage relationships with brokers, insurers and external advisors
Oversee the full claims lifecycle across multiple insurance classes
Provide insurance and risk management advice to stakeholders across the business
Review contractual insurance requirements and advise on policy terms and conditions
Produce claims and risk reports for senior management and directors
Support risk surveys, site assessments and insurer visits across the business
Assist with insurance due diligence and integration activities relating to acquisitions
Provide insurance guidance on major projects, including new equipment, facilities and operational changes
Monitor insurance costs and support budget planning
Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls and risk management initiatives
Support and mentor a small insurance team
What you'll need
Experience working within insurance, risk management, broking or a related insurance environment
Good understanding of commercial insurance programmes and claims management
Experience working with insurers, brokers and key stakeholders
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of an organisation
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
