As an Infrastructure Engineer within the manufacturing industry, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and developing the company's technology systems. Your work will ensure smooth operations and support the business in delivering its services efficiently.

Description
Maintain and optimise the organisation's IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
Support the implementation of new technologies to enhance system efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to minimise downtime.
Monitor system performance and implement improvements as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align infrastructure goals with business needs.
Ensure all systems adhere to security and compliance standards.
Document processes and system configurations for future reference.
Provide technical support and guidance to internal teams as required.
Profile
* Strong Linux administration (Ubuntu) and Windows Server.
* Production virtualisation experience (Proxmox, VMware or Hyper-V).
* Software-defined / clustered storage (Ceph, vSAN or comparable).
* SQL Server administration including Always On AG / Windows failover clustering.
* Enterprise networking (Cisco or equivalent): VLANs, vPC/LACP, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
* Scripting and automation (Bash and PowerShell).
* Monitoring/observability tooling and structured incident response.
* Typically 3-5 years in a hands-on infrastructure or 3rd-line role.
Desirable * Ceph at production scale, Docker/containers, NVIDIA GPU/CUDA exposure.
* Genuine interest in AI infrastructure and on-prem inference.
Job Offer
A salary ranging from £50K - £55K + dependent on the level of experience.

5 days onsite in the office based in Warrington
