Description
Ensure compliance with UK GDPR, FOIA, Data Protection Act 2018 and wider information governance requirements.
Review, assess and respond to complex Freedom of Information (FOI) and Subject Access Requests (SARs), applying appropriate legal exemptions and exercising sound judgement.
Support the development, implementation and continuous improvement of policies, procedures and frameworks relating to data protection and information management.
Advise on Records of Processing Activities (ROPA), data sharing arrangements and wider compliance initiatives.
Support audits, reporting and regulatory requirements, ensuring information management practices remain robust and effective.
Work collaboratively with Legal Services and stakeholders across the organisation to provide pragmatic, solutions-focused advice.
Profile
A strong understanding of data protection regulations, including GDPR.
Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to draft clear, concise and legally robust responses for a range of audiences.
Strong attention to detail, with excellent grammar, spelling and accuracy when preparing formal documentation and correspondence.
Ability to interpret legislation and regulatory guidance, applying legal principles and exemptions with sound judgement.
Proficiency in handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality.
Excellent communication skills to convey complex information clearly.
Attention to detail and a methodical approach to tasks.
Ability to work collaboratively across department
Job Offer
Competitive salary ranging from £30,000 to £35,000 per annum.
