Robert Half is exclusively engaged to recruit a Indirect Procurement Specialist for a well-established organisation operating within a complex, multi-site environment.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing procurement function that is undergoing significant development and transformation. The business is investing in its procurement capability and is looking for an individual who can help drive best practice, deliver commercial value and build strong internal and external relationships. The Role Reporting into the Procurement Manager, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of indirect spend categories, managing a considerable annual expenditure across multiple business areas.
This is a commercially focused procurement role with a strong emphasis on strategic sourcing, supplier management and stakeholder engagement. The position will suit someone who enjoys influencing decision-making, delivering value through effective negotiations and driving continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end procurement activity across a range of indirect spend categories.
Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned to business objectives.
Lead tender and RFx processes, evaluating commercial and technical proposals.
Negotiate supplier agreements, pricing and service levels to deliver value and cost savings.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships whilst managing performance against agreed KPIs.
Support contract lifecycle activities including renewals, extensions and supplier reviews.
Identify opportunities to consolidate spend and leverage purchasing power across the wider business.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders across operations, engineering, finance, IT and other support functions.
Provide procurement guidance and challenge to internal stakeholders where appropriate.
Monitor spend, report on savings and identify continuous improvement opportunities.
Ensure compliance with internal procurement policies and governance processes.
Support supply chain risk mitigation and second-source initiatives where required.
About You We're interested in speaking with procurement professionals who can operate independently, influence stakeholders and take ownership of their category areas.
Previous experience within procurement, purchasing or sourcing.
Exposure to indirect spend categories.
Strong supplier negotiation and contract management skills.
Experience leading sourcing, tendering or RFx activities.
The ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
Strong analytical and commercial decision-making capabilities.
Experience using ERP systems such as SAP.
A proactive mindset with the confidence to challenge the status quo and drive positive change.
Industry experience is flexible, and applications are welcomed from candidates operating within manufacturing, engineering, FMCG, life sciences, logistics or other complex commercial environments. What's on Offer
