Job Description
The Opportunity We are recruiting for an experienced HR professional to join a fast-paced operational business as part of a collaborative regional HR team on a 13-month fixed term contract covering maternity leave. This role offers the chance to work closely with Regional Managing Directors and leadership teams, providing strategic and operational HR support across multiple business functions. You’ll play a key role in shaping people plans, driving performance, supporting organisational change and delivering practical HR solutions that positively impact business performance and employee experience. This is a highly visible, front-facing role suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, influencing stakeholders and working autonomously across a regional remit.
Key Responsibilities You will deliver a broad mix of hands on HR support and advisory work, including: • Providing pragmatic, commercially focused HR advice to managers across corporate and commercial teams • Managing employee relations activity, including disciplinaries, grievances, performance and absence cases • Supporting organisational change activity and people initiatives alongside HR Business Partners • Building trusted relationships with stakeholders and confidently influencing at different levels • Advising managers on employment law, best practice and internal policies • Ensuring accurate and timely HR administration across the employee lifecycle • Supporting onboarding, contract management and continuous improvement of HR processes This is a genuine generalist role, offering both operational depth and development stretch Ideal candidate Minimum 3 years’ experience in a generalist HR role, ideally at Senior HR Advisor or HR Business Partner level • Strong employee relations experience with confidence coaching managers • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards) or equivalent experience • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • Able to influence and build credibility at all levels • Comfortable managing a regional workload and travel requirements. Please note key locations include Leeds, Yorkshire & Manchester. • Full UK driving licence required
