Hours: 37 hours per week (9:00am – 5:00pm, 4:30pm finish on Fridays)

Working Pattern: Hybrid – up to 2 days per week in the office About the Role Bath and North East Somerset Council are seeking an experienced HR Support Officer to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality HR services, supporting organisational development and ensuring compliance with employment legislation. Key Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day HR support across a range of services

Assist with organisational development and training initiatives

Support the implementation and development of HR policies and procedures

Work with HR systems and contribute to ongoing HR-related projects

Provide clear, accurate advice on employment legislation and statutory requirements

Communicate HR policies effectively to a variety of stakeholders and support managers with guidance

Requirements

CIPD Level 3 Foundation Certificate in HR Practice (or equivalent)

Previous experience within HR support services

Knowledge of HR policies, procedures, and employment legislation

Experience using HR systems and supporting HR projects

Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex policy information clearly

Ability to coach and guide others on HR and organisational development topics

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload effectively
