Reporting into the Director of HR and working in a small team of 4, the successful person will provide hands-on HR support during a particularly busy period of organisational change and recruitment.
This is a busy HR Officer role requiring the ability to operate independently and as part of a small team:
Take day-to-day ownership of recruitment activity, including managing the vacancy inbox and recruitment portal, coordinating recruitment processes and supporting hiring managers.
Provide practical HR guidance and advice to managers and colleagues, in line with policies and procedures and good HR practice.
Support the HR team with organisational change activity, working particularly closely with the Senior HR Officer.
Pick up generalist people/employee relations matters where required and appropriate.
Support the Director of HR with data, reporting and preparation of the annual Board report.
Provide wider HR team support where priorities require it.
Solid generalist HR experience at HR Officer/Advisor level, with the ability to operate independently.
Strong, recent experience of end-to-end recruitment and selection, ideally across multiple vacancies simultaneously.
Experience of supporting organisational change/restructures would be highly desirable.
Able to quickly understand and apply organisational policies and ways of working.
Excellent planning, organisation and prioritisation skills.
Comfortable working independently as part of a remote team.
Pragmatic, responsive and comfortable working in a changing environment.
A flexible, collaborative, 'can-do' approach.
Experience within education, charity, membership or the public sector would be advantageous, but is not essential.
Temporary opportunity for approximately 2-3 months, with potential to extend.
Salary equivalent of £32,440–£40,800 depending on experience.
21-28 hours per week with some flexibility around working hours.
Fully remote.
