Epsom, Surrey £35,000 - £40,000 DOE Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 4:30pm Full-Time | Office Based

We are seeking an experienced HR Officer to join a busy and supportive HR team. This is a varied generalist role offering exposure to employee relations, recruitment, compliance, payroll, HR administration and people projects.

The Role

Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers and employees across a range of HR matters.

Support employee relations cases including disciplinary, grievance, performance, capability and absence management.

Maintain and audit the Single Central Register (SCR), ensuring compliance with safeguarding and regulatory requirements.

Manage recruitment campaigns from advert creation through to onboarding.

Oversee pre-employment checks including DBS, right to work and reference checks.

Support onboarding, probation reviews and employee lifecycle administration.

Administer payroll changes and resolve payroll-related queries.

Monitor sickness absence and support managers with absence management processes.

Maintain accurate HR records, reports and documentation.

Assist with learning and development initiatives, wellbeing programmes and HR projects.

Review and update HR policies, procedures and best practice guidance.

About You

Previous experience in a generalist HR role.

CIPD qualified or working towards qualification, or equivalent HR experience.

Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice.

Experience handling employee relations matters.

Recruitment and onboarding experience.

Payroll administration experience would be advantageous.

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Strong organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail.

Confident using HR systems, Microsoft Word and Excel.

Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

What's on Offer

Salary of £35,000 - £42,000 depending on experience
