HR Manager (12 Month FTC – Maternity Cover)
Location: Wednesbury
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000
Hours: Monday – Friday | 8:30am – 5:00pm
Contract: Full Time | 12 Month Fixed-Term Contract
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Manager to join a well-established and growing organisation on a 12-month maternity cover contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a confident and hands-on HR professional to step into a varied generalist role where you will play a key part in supporting employees, managers, and the wider leadership team. Reporting directly into senior leadership, you will also manage a small HR team of three direct reports.
The successful candidate will ideally be available to start in August to allow for a comprehensive handover period. Key Responsibilities
Provide professional HR advice and guidance to managers across the business
Lead and support recruitment activity and talent attraction initiatives
Support payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are achieved
Manage employee relations matters in line with UK employment legislation and company policies
Monitor HR KPIs and provide reports and recommendations to senior management
Design and deliver management training and development initiatives
Support organisational change and continuous improvement projects
Build strong relationships across departments and leadership teams
Manage incoming HR communications and maintain a high-quality HR service
Lead, coach, and develop a small HR team
Requirements
CIPD Level 5 qualified or equivalent experience
Strong background within a generalist HR position
Excellent employee relations knowledge and practical experience
Up-to-date understanding of UK employment legislation
Strong communication, coaching, and influencing skills
Ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the business
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Experience supporting business growth and change initiatives
