Salford City Council | 6-Month Interim Contract |Hybrid Working

Salford Council are seeking an experienced HR Consultants to join a busy and supportive HR team providing dedicated support to Adult Social Care services during a period of organisational change resulting from services being brought back into the Council. This is an initial 6-month interim assignments with the potential for extension, and there may be opportunities to convert into permanent positions for the right candidates.

Reporting to a HR Business Partner, you will provide professional, solution-focused HR advice across a broad range of employee relations and people management issues. You'll work closely with managers and stakeholders, supporting them to manage complex workforce matters while promoting a positive and people-centred approach.

Key Responsibilities

Providing expert advice on disciplinary, grievance and sickness absence cases.

Supporting managers with a range of employee relations and workforce issues.

Advising on recruitment, organisational change and other generalist HR matters.

Coaching and developing managers to confidently handle people-related challenges.

Contributing to HR projects and initiatives that support organisational objectives.

Delivering pragmatic, risk-based and legally compliant HR solutions.

About You

Experienced HR professional with a strong generalist background.

Proven track record managing complex employee relations cases independently.

Confident advising managers on disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance matters.

Strong stakeholder management and coaching skills.

Ideally experienced within a public sector or large complex organisation.
