HR Business Partner
Location: South Lanarkshire (regional travel required) Salary: £45,000 - £47,000 per annum Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
The Role
We are recruiting for an experienced HR Business Partner to support operational teams across South Lanarkshire. This is a hands-on role where you'll work closely with managers to provide expert HR support, drive people initiatives, and help deliver business objectives.
You'll be responsible for a broad range of HR activities, including recruitment, employee relations, talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, and management coaching.
Key Responsibilities
Build strong relationships with managers and stakeholders across the region.
Provide advice and support on employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, attendance, performance, and capability issues.
Coach and develop managers, enabling them to confidently manage people matters.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives.
Work with managers to identify current and future workforce requirements.
Contribute to succession planning and talent development processes.
Partner with Learning & Development to identify and implement training solutions.
Promote employee engagement, wellbeing, and employee voice initiatives.
Facilitate engagement surveys and analyse employee feedback and exit interview data.
Support reward processes and liaise with payroll as required.
Produce and analyse HR metrics, identifying trends and recommending improvements.
Ensure compliance with GDPR, employment legislation, and company policies.
Lead and support HR projects and initiatives where required.
About You
Previous experience in a HR Business Partner, Senior HR Advisor, or similar role.
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice.
Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
The ability to coach and support managers at all levels.
Experience managing a wide range of employee relations cases.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities.
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards).
Full UK Driving Licence.
