Reed Health & Care are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Home Manager to lead a well-established residential care home in the Stockport area.
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and compassionate leader to take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the home, driving quality, compliance, occupancy, and team development while ensuring residents receive exceptional care and support.
The home has a strong local reputation, a committed staff team, and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to make a visible impact while being supported by engaged Directors, HR support, and compliance expertise.
The Role
Leading and developing a dedicated care team to deliver outstanding resident care.
Ensuring full compliance with CQC regulations and relevant legislation.
Maintaining high standards of care, resident experience, and clinical governance.
Managing occupancy levels, enquiries, admissions, and relationships with families and professionals.
Recruiting, retaining, supervising, and developing colleagues.
Managing staffing levels, budgets, agency usage, and operational performance.
Driving continuous improvement and developing annual service improvement plans.
Promoting the home within the local community and supporting marketing activities.
Handling complaints, safeguarding concerns, and regulatory requirements appropriately.
Ensuring the home environment remains safe, welcoming, and maintained to the highest standards.
About You
We're looking for an experienced care leader who can provide clear, visible, and consistent leadership.
Essential
Previous experience in a Home Manager role within elderly residential care.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Experience managing CQC compliance and inspections.
Experience developing teams and addressing performance issues.
Knowledge of the Care Standards Act, safeguarding, and health & safety legislation.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
The ability to effectively manage budgets and resources.
A flexible approach and willingness to participate in an on-call rota.
Desirable
Degree or relevant professional qualification.
Management qualification.
Experience of dementia care.
Experience in marketing and occupancy growth within a care setting.
