We are looking for an experienced Head of HR to join one of our clients within the education sector on a part-time, term-time only basis.
This is an excellent hybrid opportunity for a senior HR professional who can provide strategic people leadership, operational HR management and expert employee relations support across a multi-site organisation, with a head office in Burntwood.
Offering a salary of £52,413 to £56,647 pro rata, this opportunity will suit someone who is confident leading people strategy, strengthening HR compliance, supporting complex casework and ensuring high-quality people management across the organisation.
Developing and implementing an effective People Strategy aligned to organisational priorities and long-term objectives
Providing professional HR leadership, advice and operational support to senior leaders, managers and wider teams
Ensuring HR policies, procedures and processes remain legally compliant, consistently applied and reflective of best practice
Managing a portfolio of employee relations casework, including performance, disciplinary, grievance, redundancy, absence management and investigations
Maintaining accurate HR records, contracts, correspondence, safeguarding checks and workforce information in line with confidentiality and data protection requirements
Supporting effective union engagement, consultation processes and external HR/legal adviser relationships where required
Working collaboratively with payroll, pensions, operations and health and safety colleagues to support effective service delivery and compliance
Experience in a senior HR role, ideally within education, public sector, charity, not-for-profit or another regulated environment
Strong knowledge of employment law, HR policy, employee relations casework and organisational people processes
Confident advising senior leaders and line managers on complex HR matters, using sound judgement and maintaining high levels of confidentiality
Hold a relevant professional HR qualification, or equivalent experience
Excellent communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills
Additional Information
Part-time, 0.6 FTE, 22.5 hours per week
Term-time only
