Head of Finance

Meraki Accountancy & Finance’s city centre based client are looking to add a Hands on Finance Manager to the current team to take ownership of the finance function within a fast-paced, commercially focused organisation.

This is a broad and influential role where you'll lead day-to-day finance operations, manage cashflow and foreign currency exposure, oversee month-end and year-end processes, and provide meaningful financial insight to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and develop a small finance team.

Manage cashflow, banking relationships, and multi-currency transactions.

Oversee month-end reporting, management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting.

Ensure VAT, payroll, statutory reporting, and compliance obligations are met.

Deliver accurate financial reporting and analysis to senior stakeholders and Board members.

Drive continuous improvement across finance systems, controls, and processes.

Manage year-end audit and annual budgeting cycles.

About You

ICAS / ACCA / CIMA qualified or qualified by experience.

Proven Finance Manager or Senior Finance experience within an SME environment.

Strong background in management accounting, cashflow management, and financial controls.

Experience producing Board-level reporting and commercial financial analysis.

Knowledge of VAT, payroll, and UK statutory compliance requirements.

Confident leader with excellent stakeholder management skills.

Experience with multi-currency transactions and foreign exchange exposure is advantageous.
