Role: Head of Finance Location: Glasgow Salary: £80,000+ DOE

An outstanding opportunity for a commercially driven senior finance leader to step into a high-impact leadership role within an ambitious, scaling international business. Reporting directly to the CEO, this appointment sits at the heart of the organisation’s next phase of growth, transformation and operational evolution.

The business is investing heavily across leadership, systems, infrastructure and commercial capability, creating a genuine opportunity for an influential finance professional to shape performance, challenge thinking, and help drive strategic direction.

The successful individual will operate as a true commercial partner to the CEO and senior leadership team, bringing financial rigour, operational challenge and strategic insight to a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

The remit offers significant visibility, broad commercial exposure and the opportunity to influence decision-making at the highest level.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with the CEO and leadership team to drive strategic growth, investment decisions and overall business performance.

Drive robust financial challenge across risks, opportunities and business performance delivery, acting as a key commercial advisor to the executive team.

Leadership of the full financial cycle, including budgeting, quarterly reforecasting, monthly management accounts and executive performance reporting.

Weekly cashflow ownership, forecasting and control, ensuring liquidity, resilience and financial stability across the group.

Accountability for weekly finance cadence including payment approvals, operational dashboards and resource planning oversight.

Lead pricing strategy, commercial modelling, bid support, contract negotiation and investment appraisal activity.

Maintain the integrity of the balance sheet, financial controls and governance across all entities.

Ownership of statutory reporting, audit processes, VAT submissions and wider regulatory compliance obligations.

Oversee CAPEX governance and financial evaluation of investment and growth initiatives.

Drive finance transformation, including ERP modernisation, systems development, process improvement and MI/BI enhancement.

Lead and develop a high-performing international finance function with a strong focus on accountability, capability and commercial ownership.

Manage key external stakeholder relationships, including auditors, banking partners, insurers and professional advisors.

What We’re Looking For

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, ICAS or equivalent) with proven senior finance leadership experience.

Strong track record driving profitability, commercial performance and cash flow within fast-paced, evolving businesses.

Commercially astute with experience influencing strategic decision-making at a senior level.

Strong capability across forecasting, planning, financial modelling and performance analysis.

Experience leading and developing high-performing teams within complex environments.

Credible, hands-on and pragmatic leadership style with the confidence to challenge constructively and drive impact.

This opportunity will appeal to ambitious senior finance professionals seeking broader influence, meaningful commercial exposure and the chance to help shape the future direction of a growing international business.
