HEAD OF ENGINEERING

THE COMPANY: This business is operating at the intersection of AI, data science and pharmaceutical R&D with a mission is to make discoveries faster, smarter and more efficient. THE ROLE: You will take ownership of the Engineering function, providing leadership across technical delivery, people management and engineering operations. Key responsibilities include:

Leading and scaling the Engineering team as the business grows

Establishing strong engineering processes, standards and ways of working

Providing architectural oversight and technical direction across the platform

Ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery of complex, enterprise-grade projects

Developing, mentoring and supporting senior engineers and technical leaders

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: You will bring strong capability in:

Hands-on engineering leadership within fast-paced startup environments

Backend, data engineering or full-stack systems at scale

Technical strategy, architecture and long-term platform design

Managing and empowering highly capable senior engineers

Cross-functional delivery, stakeholder management and prioritisation
