Head of Account Management
North West (Hybrid Working) | Up to £67,000 + £5,400 Car Allowance + Bonus The Opportunity We are exclusively partnering with a well-established UK business to recruit an experienced Head of Account Management.
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a key leadership role responsible for driving commercial performance, customer retention, revenue forecasting and team development.
This is far more than a traditional account management position. We are looking for a commercially driven leader who can take ownership of performance, develop a high-performing team, strengthen customer engagement and drive business growth. Key Areas of Focus Forecasting & Ownership of Numbers
Own company revenue forecasting and performance reporting.
Deliver accurate forecasts and communicate risks and opportunities.
Drive accountability for revenue performance.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach and develop the Account Management team.
Create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Inspire, motivate and challenge the team to maximise performance.
Commercial Growth
Drive customer retention, profitability and account development.
Identify opportunities to increase revenue within existing accounts.
Support pricing strategies, commercial reviews and contract negotiations.
Sales & Customer Engagement
Lead from the front in developing customer relationships.
Encourage greater face-to-face customer engagement.
Promote a proactive and commercially focused approach to account management.
Driving Change
Bring fresh ideas and challenge existing ways of working.
Build credibility with customers and stakeholders.
Drive improvements across the function and wider business.
Responsibilities
Lead and develop the Account Management function.
Conduct regular account reviews, forecasting meetings and performance discussions.
Manage strategic customer relationships and support account growth.
Develop customer retention and commercial growth strategies.
Monitor performance trends and identify opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure exceptional customer outcomes.
Support commercial negotiations and customer reviews.
About You
Proven leadership experience within Account Management, Client Services, Sales or Commercial functions.
Strong forecasting capability and commercial awareness.
Track record of driving customer growth and retention.
Experience developing high-performing teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proactive, resilient and results focused.
Experience within print, packaging, manufacturing, fulfilment or a similar complex B2B environment would be advantageous. However, exceptional candidates from other sectors will also be considered. Package
