Key Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Holds QTS, QTLS, or an equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
Enhanced DBS: A valid Enhanced DBS clearance registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
Leadership Experience: Prior experience acting as a Second in Department, Key Stage Coordinator, or an established Head of Department. .
Eligibility to Work: Valid legal entitlement to work full-time in the UK.

Curriculum Leadership: Design, implement, and continuously refine a high-quality, sequential A-Level and Further Mathematics curriculum.
Academic Standards: Monitor, track, and analyse student intervention data to maximise progress and ensure top-tier examination results.
Contextualised Learning: Collaborate with engineering and computer science departments to integrate real-world technical problems into mathematics lessons.
Staff Development: Line-manage, mentor, and coach departmental staff, conducting regular performance reviews and sharing best practices.
Employer Collaboration: Liaise with university sponsors and industry partners to incorporate expert-led masterclasses and real-world data sets into the learning plan.
Teaching Excellence: Deliver consistently outstanding, high-impact lessons across Key Stage 5 Mathematics modules.
Enrichment Management: Oversee and organise extracurricular mathematical challenges, university physics/maths faculty visits, and STEM competitions.
Resource Allocation: Manage the departmental budget effectively, ensuring teaching staff have access to premium digital and physical mathematical resources.
University Preparation: Provide specialised guidance and mock-interview preparation for students applying for highly competitive STEM degrees (e.g., STEP/MAT papers).
