Group Financial Accountant

Michael Page is delighted to partner with our client to recruit a Group Financial Accountant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a newly/recently qualified accountant making their first move out of Audit. This will be a varied role and work across group; producing management accounts, technical accounting, with stakeholder engagement and a range of interesting projects.

Client Details

Our client is a market leading UK Wide Organisation with a best in class finance function, based in the heart of Glasgow City Centre.

Description

The successful candidate will likely have the following responsibilities

Preparation of monthly management accounts across multiple entities

Support with group consolidations and intercompany reconciliations

Key involvement in the year-end audit process, acting as the main contact for auditors

Balance sheet reconciliations and review of financial controls and processes

Support cashflow reporting and provide financial analysis where required

Partner with operational teams to improve financial understanding and reporting

Drive process improvements across reporting and controls

Profile

The successful candidate will likely have the following profile

ICAS/ACCA Newly-Qualifed

Strong grounding in financial reporting and audit

Exposure to multi-entity or group structures advantageous

Confident communicator with the ability to engage non-finance stakeholders

Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail

Keen to make a first move into industry and develop commercially
