Group Credit Analyst
Location: Ellesmere Port Working Pattern: Hybrid Contract: Permanent, Full-Time Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Normally 8:30am - 4:30pm Flexible Core Hours: Work between 7am - 7pm (Core hours 10am - 3pm) Bonus: On target 4% (potential to increase up to 30% based on personal and business performance)
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Group Credit Analyst to join a well-established business based in Ellesmere Port. This role sits within the Group Credit Control function and will play a key part in supporting credit risk management, customer account compliance, and cash collection activities across the group.
This position would suit someone with previous commercial credit or credit risk experience who enjoys working within a fast-paced finance environment and has strong attention to detail. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
Assess and review customer credit risk profiles across new and existing accounts
Set up and maintain customer accounts, payment terms, and credit limits within the ERP system
Review customer credit files and obtain approvals in line with Group Credit Policy
Use credit reference agency software to assess risk exposure and monitor customer limits
Ensure compliance with legal contracts, payment terms, and country risk requirements
Support cash collection activities and assist with overdue account management when required
Record payment promises, disputes, and due date amendments within SAP
Manage and release credit holds within the ERP system
Run and analyse SAP reports relating to credit compliance, customer master data, and audit criteria
Highlight compliance issues and support remediation activity where necessary
Provide support across the wider Credit team during busy periods or holiday cover
Assist with ERP enhancements, training, and process improvements
Skills & Experience Required
Previous commercial credit risk assessment experience (minimum 1 year)
SAP knowledge is essential
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Good communication skills and confidence working across departments
GCSE English and Maths (Grade C or above or equivalent)
Desirable
CICP qualification
AICM certification
European language skills
