Group Financial Accountant

London | Hybrid £60,000 - £65,000 + bonus + benefits

Robert Half is exclusively partnering with a private equity-backed renewable energy business to hire a Group Financial Accountant into their London-based finance team. This is a high-impact role within a growing, internationally operating business, offering strong exposure across group reporting, consolidation and senior stakeholder interaction. The opportunity Sitting within a flat and collaborative Group Finance function, this is a hands-on position where you'll take ownership of month-end and consolidation while supporting a fast-scaling, multi-entity business. You'll work closely with the Group Financial Controller and wider finance leadership, gaining broad exposure across technical accounting, audit and process improvement in a business where finance is central to decision-making. Key responsibilities

Own the group month-end close across central and corporate entities, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery

Lead the consolidation process (Lucanet), including intercompany eliminations, multi-currency and FX considerations

Deliver high-quality group reporting with clear analysis and insight for senior stakeholders

Support the year-end audit process, acting as a key point of contact for auditors and preparing supporting documentation

Review and challenge balance sheet reconciliations, identifying risks, inconsistencies and areas for improvement

Work across multiple systems (including NetSuite and local reporting tools), helping to improve reporting quality and consistency

Drive improvements across processes, controls and reporting as the business continues to scale

What we're looking for

ACA qualified (practice-trained preferred, ideally Top 10 background)

Strong technical grounding with exposure to audited group environments and complex structures

Experience leading audit assignments and working closely with key stakeholders

Proven experience or exposure to consolidation and intercompany accounting

Confident working with large data sets and multiple reporting systems

Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to operate independently in a growing business

Strong communication skills - personable, credible and able to engage across all levels
