We're looking for a Grants Compliance Officer to join our Grants Compliance Team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in grants, finance, audit or compliance who enjoys working with people, analysing financial information and supporting organisations to strengthen their financial management.

Reporting to the Grants Compliance Manager, you'll manage the financial compliance of a portfolio of grants, helping to ensure funding is managed effectively and in line with donor requirements.
Working closely with colleagues across Grants, Finance, Operations and Learning, Monitoring and Evaluation, you'll provide practical advice and support to Grantee Partners throughout the grant lifecycle. You'll also contribute to due diligence processes, organisational strengthening and the continuous improvement of our grant management systems.
This varied role combines financial analysis, compliance, relationship management and international development, with opportunities to travel internationally to support Grantee Partners.
Key responsibilities
Manage the financial compliance of a portfolio of approximately 100–120 grants.
Review project budgets, financial reports and budget revisions, providing feedback and guidance to Grantee Partners.
Support due diligence and financial risk assessments for prospective and existing Grantee Partners.
Review financial documentation and identify potential compliance risks or financial irregularities.
Provide advice and support on financial management and grant compliance.
Design and deliver webinars and capacity strengthening sessions for Grantee Partners.
Build strong working relationships with partners and colleagues across the organisation.
Contribute to donor reporting and the continuous improvement of grant management systems and processes.
About you
We're looking for someone who is organised, analytical and committed to supporting effective grant management. You'll enjoy building relationships, working collaboratively and using your financial skills to help organisations succeed.
Fluency in spoken and written French.
Experience in finance, grants, audit, compliance or risk management, including financial reporting or due diligence.
Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and advanced Excel.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across different cultures.
The ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.
An interest in international development and sexual and reproductive health and rights.
Willingness and ability to undertake international travel.
Experience within a charity, grant-making or international development environment, knowledge of grants management systems (such as Fluxx), and additional language skills would be advantageous.
