Risk Analyst - 25-30k ( Hybrid)
Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire (LS16) Department: Risk Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days per week in the office, Monday to Friday)
About the Role
Our Client is looking for a motivated and analytical Risk Analyst to join their growing Risk Team.

While previous experience in risk management is advantageous, we are primarily looking for someone with the right attitude, strong communication skills, and a genuine willingness to learn.
As a Risk Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting the management of our merchant portfolio, helping to identify, assess, and mitigate risk while ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will work closely with experienced colleagues who will provide training, guidance, and ongoing support as you develop your expertise.
Key Responsibilities

Support merchant onboarding reviews, including application assessments and website checks.
•
Monitor daily and weekly transaction activity, identifying unusual patterns, trends, and potential risks.
•
Assist in managing chargebacks, fraud alerts, and early warning indicators.
•
Support investigations into suspicious or unusual merchant activity.
•
Collaborate with Relationship Managers and internal stakeholders to support merchant needs and risk-related queries.
•
Contribute to portfolio reviews, risk assessments, and management reporting.
•
Maintain accurate records and ensure adherence to internal risk procedures.
•
Actively contribute to a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment.

Undertake occasional merchant visits where required.

Desirable Experience
•
Exposure to payments, financial services, risk, compliance, or fraud prevention.
•
Experience using Microsoft Excel or working with data-driven processes.

A customer service, account management, or relationship-focused background.
•
Knowledge of card payments, chargebacks, acquiring, or e-commerce environments.
