We are recruiting on behalf of a growing financial services organisation based in Manchester who are looking for a sharp and motivated Graduate Finance & Investment Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a genuine graduate role with real exposure to financial markets, investment analysis, and client-facing work from day one. You will be working alongside experienced finance professionals, developing the technical and commercial skills that will define your career in finance — with a clear pathway to progression within the business.
The Organisation
A well-established and growing financial services business operating in the heart of the City, with a strong reputation and an ambitious pipeline of activity. They are committed to bringing in talented graduates and giving them the platform to develop quickly in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
The Role
You will support the investment and finance team across a range of analytical and operational tasks, gaining broad exposure to financial markets, portfolio management, and client reporting. As you develop, you will take on increasing responsibility and client-facing work.
Conducting financial research and analysis across equities, fixed income, and alternative asset classes
Supporting the preparation of investment reports, client presentations, and portfolio reviews
Monitoring market movements, economic data, and sector developments, and summarising key findings for the team
Assisting with financial modelling, valuation analysis, and due diligence on investment opportunities
Supporting with client relationship management and the preparation of client communications
Contributing to the development of internal research notes and investment commentary
Working with financial data platforms including Bloomberg, FactSet, or equivalent tools (training provided)
What We Are Looking For
A degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a related discipline. You will be analytically rigorous, commercially curious, and genuinely passionate about financial markets and investment. Strong numerical and Excel skills are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are equally important — you will be contributing to client-facing materials from an early stage.
A CFA Level 1 qualification or progress towards it is desirable but not essential. What matters most is intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and the drive to build a serious career in finance.
What Is On Offer
A competitive salary, structured development and mentoring, exposure to live investment activity, and a genuine long-term career within a growing and ambitious organisation. This is a business that takes graduate development seriously and has a strong track record of promoting from within.
