Graduate Assistant Accountant

This isn't a role where you'll spend every day processing invoices. You'll be involved in producing management accounts, analysing performance and helping the business make better financial decisions.

What you'll be doing

Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts

Supporting the month-end process, including journals, accruals and prepayments

Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and investigating variances

Assisting with budgeting and forecasting

Producing financial analysis and management reports

Supporting weekly and monthly KPI reporting

Reconciling bank accounts and key control accounts

Maintaining the fixed asset register

Assisting with year-end audit preparation

Working with operational teams to improve reporting and financial understanding

Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and controls

Producing ad hoc reports and analysis as required

What are they looking for?

A recent graduate or experience working in an office environment

Someone studying, or keen to study, AAT, CIMA, ACCA or ACA

Strong attention to detail with an analytical mindset

A proactive approach and willingness to learn

Someone who enjoys working as part of a team and can manage multiple deadlines
