This innovative company have been recently established and are now scaling rapidly. They are bringing a genuinely disruptive microscopy software product to market, with huge scope for long-term growth as the business expands globally.
In this role you will support customers with installation, configuration and troubleshooting, deliver demos and technical training, and feed real-world user insight back into the software roadmap. You'll also support pre-sales activities and represent the company at conferences and events. Travel is occasional (typically 1-2 days per month).

The Role
Applications Engineer supporting global scientific customers (remote + occasional travel)
Install/configure/troubleshoot electron microscopy software integrations
Deliver product demos, workshops and technical training (live + remote)
Work closely with R&D, translating customer feedback into product improvements
Support pre-sales and attend conferences/trade shows
The Person
Recent Master's or PhD graduate in Physics / Materials Science / Engineering / Biology (or similar)
Hands-on electron microscopy experience: TEM / STEM / SEM and/or FIB-SEM (through research/projects is fine)
Comfortable customer-facing, problem-solving and communicating technical concepts
Desirable: experience supporting users (training, lab support, demos), based in the North West
