Freelance Translation Support – English to French (f/m/x)

The role: What's in the Box

HelloFresh Benelux is looking for a freelance English-to-French translator to support our French recipe content production. In this role, you will work closely with our internal French translator/editor to translate, edit, and adapt recipe content while ensuring consistency with the HelloFresh tone of voice and culinary terminology standards.

This is a long-term freelance collaboration consisting of weekly structural support, alongside additional coverage during holiday periods.

What you’ll do: The Recipe

Translate recipe content from English into French in Google Sheets, including: recipe titles, subtitles, and step-by-step cooking instructions

Edit and refine existing recipes requiring updates, revisions, or text alterations.

Ensure all French culinary terminology aligns with the HelloFresh writing style guide and brand tone of voice throughout all translation and editing tasks.

Collaborate closely with the internal French translator/editor and the editing team to support the editing team’s workflows.

Help maintain quality and continuity during holiday coverage periods.

The role will potentially shift more toward editing and refinement of AI-assisted translations over time.

What you’ll bring: The Ingredients

You are a native French speaker (preferably from Wallonia) with excellent English comprehension.

Experience in translation and editing, or copywriting.

Strong attention to detail and consistency in language and tone.

Familiarity with culinary terminology and food-related content.

Ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively.

Previous experience in food, e-commerce, or consumer brands is a plus.
