⭐ Our Fraud Team
Our Fraud collective mission is simple: earn and keep our customers’ trust, support Monzo’s safe growth, and help build a safer financial society. Overnight Team Managers are key to making that happen.
You’ll lead a team of around 12 Fraud Investigators, helping them grow, perform at their best, and stay connected to Monzo’s bigger purpose. The work is fast-paced and impactful — balancing regulated and unregulated tasks while fostering a kind, high-performing culture where everyone feels valued and supported.
What You’ll Be Doing..
As a Team Manager, you’ll guide your team through their day-to-day work, analysing performance and wellbeing trends, offering feedback, and coaching them to success. You’ll take a proactive approach to keeping engagement high — celebrating wins, creating space for open conversations, and helping your team link their work to Monzo’s mission.
You’ll also handle more formal aspects of people management like performance and absence processes, always with empathy and transparency. Alongside this, you’ll feed insights back into the wider Fraud domain, support hiring, and help keep service levels on track. Above all, you’ll make sure your team feels motivated, equipped, and supported every step of the way.

Taking proactive action to manage and support their team’s performance; including delivering timely feedback, providing learning and coaching support and implementing formal performance management processes where necessary.

Supporting their team in developing themselves through their career journeys through effective personal development plans.
Accurately and meticulously maintaining necessary documentation.
Supporting with hiring across the domain.
Managing the personal & professional development of approximately 12 Investigators.
Fostering an empathetic, high-performance culture in the team.
Providing technical coaching, feedback, and advice relating to their tasks.
Reporting team performance as part of a weekly check in with operations managers.
Supporting the monitoring and maintenance of service level adherence by feeding back to Workforce Management when needed.
