Make a Difference in the Financial Planning and Analysis team. This is an exciting time to join the Wesleyan team within their transformation arm, for an initial 12-month fixed term contract as an FP & A Accountant. Within this role you will support financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and forecasting across the Wesleyan Group. Working closely with Finance Business Partners and senior stakeholders, you will provide valuable insights that support decision-making, drive business performance, and contribute to the delivery of the Group's strategic objectives.
Your Impact
You will own the month-end reporting process, taking accountability for the accuracy of the Profit & Loss account, Balance Sheet, reconciliations, and performance reporting.
You’ll deliver high-quality management information, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning activities, providing meaningful financial insights to support business decision-making.
You’ll analyse financial and operational performance, challenging variances, identifying trends, and supporting the development and execution of financial plans across business areas.
You’ll produce and present financial and KPI reporting for senior stakeholders, building strong relationships across the business to provide commercial and accounting expertise.
You’ll ensure compliance with accounting standards, financial controls, governance requirements, and audit processes, while maintaining accurate documentation and managing operational risk.
You’ll drive continuous improvement initiatives across Finance by enhancing reporting, streamlining processes, improving efficiencies, and promoting best practice throughout the organisation.
What You’ll Bring
Fully qualified accountant or working towards the qualification with only a few exams to take before qualifying.
The ability to write and communicate board level papers.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent customer service in dealing with internal and external customer queries;
Excellent problem solving and business analysis skills.
Ability and motivation to deliver tasks under pressure to tight deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Strong knowledge of Excel and Word.
An organised and flexible approach to work.
