Fire and Security Engineer - Glasgow

FindCore are thrilled to be assisting an established fire and security business with the recruitment of a Fire and Security Engineer.

Permanent, full-time position based in Glasgow.

Salary

Negotiable depending on experience + overtime + additional benefits + Company Car

Key Responsibilities

Service, test and maintain fire and security systems including Fire Detection, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarms.

Carry out small works installations and system upgrades.

Diagnose and resolve faults across fire and security systems.

Work from technical drawings, specifications and wiring diagrams.

Test and commission systems to ensure compliance with relevant standards.

Complete commissioning documentation, certificates and service reports.

Liaise with clients, site teams and other contractors.

Provide system demonstrations and handovers where required.

Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.

Support and mentor junior engineers where appropriate.

Skills & Experience

Minimum 2 years’ experience within fire and security servicing or small works.

Experience across Fire Detection, CCTV, Access Control and Intruder Alarm systems.

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability.

Comfortable reading technical drawings and specifications.

Good understanding of networking and IP-based systems.

Full UK driving licence required.

Ability to pass full security vetting.

ECS or CSCS card would be beneficial.
