Financial Controller

Financial Controller - Permanent - London (Hybrid) - Up to £90,000

IN2 Consult has an opportunity for a Financial Controller to join a fast-growing, private equity backed business.

The duties of the Financial Controller role include

Take ownership of the year-end close and audit process, ensuring a smooth, well-managed delivery.

Act as the senior finance lead for audit preparation, stakeholder management and completion of statutory deliverables.

Review and strengthen financial controls, processes and reporting in a lean finance environment.

Oversee and support the outsourced day-to-day finance function, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and clear accountability.

Manage and develop the internal finance team, currently comprising an Analyst and Junior Analyst.

Support finance due diligence, integration planning and post-acquisition activity if the proposed transaction completes.

Provide clear financial insight and practical guidance to senior leadership during a period of growth and change.

Help assess the longer-term structure, capability and resourcing required for the finance function.

The successful Financial Controller profile

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with substantial Financial Controller-level experience.

Proven experience leading a year-end close and external audit, in a fast-paced, PE-backed environment.

Comfortable operating in a lean, hands-on finance team and improving processes without requiring extensive infrastructure.

Experience supporting an acquisition, financial due diligence or post-deal integration would be highly advantageous.

Strong technical accounting, financial control and stakeholder-management capability.

Able to lead junior team members while working effectively with outsourced finance providers.

Pragmatic, commercially minded and able to operate confidently with senior stakeholders.
