Cedar is partnered with a private equity-backed technology and services business in Central London to appoint an Interim Financial Analyst. This is a 6-month contract offering a day rate of £400-500 per day.
The Company
This established PE-backed business has grown significantly during the investment period and is now approaching an exciting stage in its journey, with a potential transaction on the horizon.
As the business prepares for its next phase, the finance team is looking to strengthen its analytical capability and improve the quality of financial insight available across the business.
The Role
Joining a small finance team, the Interim Financial Analyst will work closely with the Head of FP&A and CFO, supporting a range of modelling, reporting and commercial analysis.
The role offers broad exposure across the business and the opportunity to develop strong hands-on experience within a PE-backed environment.
Developing and enhancing financial models across revenue, profitability, cash and business performance.
Enhancing existing FP&A reporting and improving the quality of management information.
Supporting budgeting, forecasting and periodic reforecasting.
Producing analysis of actual performance against budget and forecast.
Developing scenario and sensitivity analysis to support commercial decisions.
Analysing customer, pricing, margin and profitability data.
Improving KPI reporting and helping turn financial and operational data into useful commercial insight.
Supporting the preparation of Board, investor and transaction-related analysis.
Providing modelling and analytical support to the Head of FP&A and CFO across ad hoc projects.
Your Profile
Qualified accountant - ACA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent.
Strong Excel and analytical skills, with experience developing financial models.
Experience within FP&A, commercial finance, transaction services, deals or a similarly analytical finance role.
Comfortable working with financial and operational data and communicating findings clearly.
Exposure to private equity, technology, software or B2B services would be advantageous.
Compensation & Working Arrangements
The day rate for this Interim Financial Analyst role is £400-500 per day.
The role is based in London, with hybrid working typically requiring 2-3 days per week in Central London.
This is an opportunity to develop broader modelling, FP&A and commercial finance experience while working closely with senior finance leadership in a PE-backed environment.
