About the Role
We are recruiting a Financial Accountant to join a well-established banking organisation. This is a hands-on, office-based role suited to a technically strong accountant with proven banking experience and a deep understanding of financial instruments, balance sheet management, and bank performance reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review loan and deposit interest calculations, ensuring accuracy and compliance
Account for and analyse swaps and other derivative instruments, including valuation and reporting
Monitor and report on key bank performance metrics for management and regulatory purposes
Perform bond valuations, including yield, amortisation, and fair value analysis
Support liquidity, funding, and balance sheet management, working closely with Treasury
Contribute to month-end close, statutory accounts, and audit processes
Ensure compliance with IFRS and relevant banking regulations
Provide clear financial analysis and insight to senior stakeholders
Essential Requirements
Fully qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA) – essential
Demonstrable banking experience within financial accounting, product control, or treasury finance
Strong technical knowledge of financial instruments, derivatives, and fixed income products
Experience with liquidity and balance sheet-related reporting
Excellent analytical skills and strong attention to detail
Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial systems
Ability and willingness to work 5 days per week on-site
