Financial Accountant

Glasgow City Centre | Part-time

Full-time equivalent salary: £50,000 – £58,000

Reed Finance is working with a well-established organisation based in Glasgow City Centre to recruit a Financial Accountant on a part-time basis (3 days per week). This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant looking for a flexible role with real breadth and exposure.

This role offers the chance to take ownership of financial operations across multiple subsidiary entities, supporting both financial reporting and strategic decision-making. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and play a key role in ensuring the delivery of accurate, compliant and insightful financial information.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee month-end close processes across multiple subsidiaries, including journals and reconciliations

Produce and manage budgets and forecasts, working closely with senior stakeholders

Take ownership of statutory year-end financial statements and act as the key contact for external auditors

Attend and contribute to subsidiary board meetings, providing financial insight and guidance

Manage intercompany reconciliations and support group consolidation processes

Ensure compliance with statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements, including Companies House filings

Maintain strong financial controls and support continuous improvement of processes

About You

Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with relevant post qualification experience

Strong track record in statutory accounts and financial statements preparation

Strong technical accounting knowledge and understanding of UK reporting standards

Confident communicator, able to engage and influence both finance and non-finance stakeholders

Advanced Excel skills and comfortable working with financial systems
