Financial Accountant – Treasury | Private Equity-Backed Hospitality Group | London
FS Partners is delighted to be partnering with a fast-growing, private equity-backed lifestyle accommodation group to recruit a Financial Accountant with a Treasury focus. The business operates several aparthotel brands serving corporate and leisure guests, and it is expanding quickly into major European cities.
This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to move into a varied, high-profile role in a Group Reporting team. You will gain real exposure to debt reporting, treasury and multi-jurisdiction accounting while the business scales.
The role
Act as the internal subject-matter expert on the operating requirements of the group's debt facility agreements
Prepare monthly and quarterly debt covenant reporting and liaise with lenders and other external stakeholders
Manage cash to support the group's debt structures, including at interest payment dates
Post monthly interest and hedging entries, and prepare hedge accounting schedules and papers
Lead improvements to intercompany processes through rationalisation, documentation and alignment
Support the understanding of reporting and compliance requirements in new jurisdictions as hotels open
Help retender outsourced finance providers in overseas markets
Prepare IFRS to local GAAP reconciliations for European statutory accounts
Coordinate year-end fixed asset valuations and support the group audit
Contribute to business-critical projects and process and systems improvements as the group grows
About you
Newly qualified ACA, CA, ACCA or CIMA with strong academic results
2:1 degree or above (or equivalent)
Strong technical accounting skills, and ideally an awareness of IFRS and how it interacts with local GAAPs
Experience with finance systems; Oracle NetSuite is a strong advantage
Exposure to multi-entity, multi-currency or multi-GAAP groups is desirable
Hospitality, real estate or treasury experience is a plus but not essential
Analytical, organised and detail-focused, with the confidence to challenge existing processes
Strong communicator who builds relationships easily and works well under pressure and to deadlines
What's on offer
A broad, visible role in a PE-backed group in a period of rapid growth
Exposure to treasury, debt reporting and international accounting early in your post-qualification career
Clear scope for personal development as processes and systems evolve
Competitive salary and benefits
