Financial Accountant

Our client, a leading international law firm, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its Finance team on a permanent basis.

The Opportunity

The firm is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its UK Accounting team, reporting to the Finance Manager.

This is a varied role combining core accounting responsibilities with opportunities to improve financial processes, enhance reporting and support strategic finance initiatives across the EMEA region. Key responsibilities include:

Producing accurate management reporting and supporting the preparation of quarterly management accounts across multiple entities

Taking ownership of month-end and year-end accounting activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting

Performing balance sheet and profit and loss reconciliations, identifying opportunities to improve controls and streamline processes

Preparing monthly journals and supporting routine accounting activities

Assisting with statutory audits by preparing financial information and liaising with external auditors

Producing regular financial reports and analysis for internal stakeholders

Supporting finance transformation projects, including systems and process improvement initiatives

Contributing to the enhancement of financial controls and accounting procedures across the business

This Management Accountant position is a full-time permanent role.

Requirements

Qualified or part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant

Previous experience within a management accounting or financial accounting role

Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls

Advanced Excel skills and experience using complex accounting systems
