Finance Manager

Overview

Mitchell Adam are delighted to be partnering with an innovative and rapidly growing manufacturing SME based in the Black Country, who are looking to appoint a newly qualified Finance Manager to lead their finance function. Having established a strong position within the UK market, the business is now expanding internationally across a range of sectors, creating an exciting point of growth for someone looking to take genuine ownership of finance.

Working directly with the Managing Director and Owner, you will have a visible position within the business, providing the financial insight needed to support continued growth. You'll take responsibility for the management reporting pack, budgeting and forecasting, while working closely with senior leadership to understand performance, challenge assumptions and help shape future business strategy. This is an opportunity to move beyond simply reporting the numbers and become a key voice within a growing SME.

You'll also lead a small finance team, providing direction and developing the function as the business continues to evolve. The role would suit a Management Accountant who has gained some exposure to managing or mentoring a team and is ready to take the next step, or an existing Finance Manager looking for greater autonomy and the opportunity to work closely with ownership. With international growth already underway, there is plenty of scope for the role to develop alongside the business.

Skills Needed

Newly qualified ACCA or CIMA, or an experienced Management Accountant ready to step into Management.

Strong management accounting background with experience across reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

Comfortable presenting financial information and providing commercial insight to senior stakeholders.

Previous experience supervising, mentoring or managing a small finance team.
