As the Finance Manager based in Acton, London W3 you will be responsible for

This role is central to ensuring financial accuracy, statutory compliance, and high-quality financial insight that supports operational and strategic decision making across the UK & Ireland business. It reports to the General Manager (UK & Ireland) and is based at our Acton offices, this senior position includes responsibility for leading and developing a team of two staff members responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable, general finance administration and logistics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for

Preparing monthly management accounts, financial reports and forecasts;

Ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet through timely reconciliations and effective financial controls;

Analysing financial performance, including detailed variance and trend analysis;

Identifying the underlying drivers of business performance, together with areas of risk and opportunity;

Preparing year-end financial statements and supporting reconciliations;

Oversight of cash flow management and financial controls

Managing tax compliance, statutory reporting and the annual external audit process;

Acting as the principal point of contact for the external auditors;

Preparing and submitting VAT returns and related reconciliations;

Preparing annual budgets, forecasts and key performance indicators;

Submitting corporation tax and other statutory returns;

Processing the monthly payroll;

Leading motivating and reviewing the work of the finance and logistics team to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance; and

Maintaining and improving financial systems and internal processes

Communicating effectively with the finance team, departmental managers, the General Manager and Directors.

Profile

A recognised professional accountancy qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA);

Proven experience in a similar role;

Experience of monthly Group reporting and working to demanding deadlines;

Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with modern accounting or ERP systems;

Excellent analytical ability, together with exceptional attention to detail;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills;

The ability to communicate confidently with senior management, departmental managers, customers and external advisers;

Sound interpersonal, leadership and motivational skills;

Experience of preparing and managing budgets;

A demonstrable commitment to teamwork and professional excellence;

High ethical and professional standards; and

Job Offer

Salary £65,000 - £75,000

Hours are 08:30 - 17:30

Role is based in the office 5 days a week
