Harper May is working with a London-based entertainment group that produces live theatre, music festivals, and touring productions across the UK and Europe. The business is backed by a music industry family office and has grown organically over the past eight years; it now operates across multiple revenue streams-ticketing, sponsorship, merchandise, and venue partnerships. Recent expansion into European markets has added complexity to the finance function, and the business is now seeking a Finance Manager to strengthen operational control and provide clearer visibility across touring schedules and venue performance.
The Role Reporting to the Finance Director, you will manage the core finance operations-month-end close, management accounts, and statutory reporting-while providing commercial insight to producers, touring teams, and venue partners. The role sits at the centre of a fast-moving business where production schedules shift, tour dates change, and cash flow needs constant attention. You will own the numbers that drive decisions about which shows tour, where, and at what margin.
Lead monthly close cycles and produce timely, accurate management accounts for stakeholders
Manage cash flow forecasting and working capital across touring productions and venue contracts
Build and maintain tour budgets, tracking costs and profitability show-by-show and venue-by-venue
Reconcile venue settlements, royalty payments, and touring cost sheets with operational teams
Support audit and tax compliance, including VAT and cross-border reporting for European activity
Identify and drive process improvements in finance systems and reporting as the business scales
What we are looking for
ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified, or demonstrable equivalent accounting experience
Previous exposure to entertainment, hospitality, or events accounting
Hands-on technical accounting skills and confident financial close management
Ability to communicate clearly with non-finance teams-producers, venue managers, tour managers
Pragmatic problem-solver comfortable with ambiguity and tight deadlines
Proficiency in Excel and standard accounting packages
